PTE syllabus for the Reading section

There are two sub-types of multiple-choice questions:
- Single-answer MCQs
- multiple-answer MCQs.
- You will be given a question based on a 300-word text in the single-answer question. You must read the text thoroughly and choose one correct answer from the 4 given options.
- In multiple answers, correct type MCQs, too, you will be given a question based on a different 300-word passage, and you will have to identify all the correct options from the 4 given options.
- The text in these questions has a general subject like education, current affairs, environment, etc. You won’t need any background in the type of passage, all the information required will be given in the text.
- In Re-order paragraph type questions, you must read a 150-word paragraph and then re-order the paragraph.
- The syllabus of this type of paragraph varies, but generally, these are paragraphs from a news article or a magazine. You can expect any text which is describing a series of events.
PTE Syllabus of the Listening section
- The listening section of the PTE exam is also easy. This section aims to evaluate your listening skills. You will be hearing different recordings, and then you will have to answer some questions related to those recordings. The listening section of the PTE is of 30 – 43 minutes.
