New Ontario PNP draw invites 889 candidates!

  • Ontario, Canada invited a total of 889 immigration candidates on April 4, 2023, through the targeted and general draws of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on the date. The OINP conducted three separate draws on 4th April to invite candidates under different streams, i.e. Masters Graduate, Ph.D. Graduate, and Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. Ø Immigration Level Plans for 2023-2025

  • Canada will increase the number of new immigrants to the country over the coming three years. According to the plans, Canada will aim to welcome 465,000 new immigrants in 2023, 485,000 new immigrants in 2024, and 500,000 new immigrants in 2025.
  • The Immigration Level Plans for 2023-2025 also focuses on attracting newcomers to different regions of Canada – including small towns and rural communities. It aims to increase intakes in regional programs such as through the Provincial Nominee Program, the Atlantic Immigration Program, and the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot.
  • The updated target immigration is a strategy to help employers in Canada find potential workers. Drastic labor shortages have led many from around the world to turn to immigration as a path forward in addressing such shortages.
