- The United Kingdom is all set to open up their new immigration scheme to eligible Indians.
- UK’s Young Professionals Scheme will allow degree-holding Indian nationals in the age group 18-30 years to live and work in Britain for up to two years.
- The scheme will invite 3,000 candidates per year.
- The best part – you don’t need a sponsor or a job offer to apply.
Submission of interest
- Candidates who are eligible under the Young Professionals Scheme have to submit their interest between February 28 and March 20, 2023. Candidates will be selected randomly and successful ones will be invited to apply for a visa.
Young Professionals Scheme, a reciprocal program
The programme will be reciprocal, also allowing UK professionals in the same position to participate in a professional exchange by living and working in India.
Eligibility criteria for the Young Professionals Scheme
The candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply under this scheme. The conditions are listed below:
- Candidates have to receive invitations to apply
- Applications have to be submitted within the time mentioned in the invitation to apply
- A unique application number for the invitation to apply has to be provided
- A local police certificate or police clearance certificate has to be provided which should not be more than 6 months old
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or above
Proof of educational qualification
- A copy of the qualification
- Written confirmation from the college or university that the applicant has completed their studies and graduated with the required qualification
Youth Mobility Scheme
It is part of the larger Youth Mobility Scheme, which works under tier system.
