Academic Requirements for Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate study:

For Undergraduate study in a particular country, you will need to have passed 12th grade administered by the country’s educational authority or an overseas equivalent.

For Post-graduate study, you need to have completed at least one undergraduate degree.

Along with these, you require to provide an attested copy of:
  • Grade X Mark Sheet
  • Grade XII Mark Sheet
  • A Bachelor’s Degree/ Provisional Certificate with Mark Sheets
English Proficiency Requirement:
  • IELTS – 6.5 bands with not less than 6.0
  • TOEFL – 90-100
Note : This may differ based on the institute of your choice and your preferred course.

If you prefer to study a course offered in the native language of a specific country, in which case, you may need to provide the results for tests as prescribed by the institution. E.g. to study a course offered in French, you need to prove your French proficiency through test results of exams such as TCF/TEF/DELF/DALF.

Health Insurance:

Another requirement for students planning to study in Europe is to get health insurance coverage throughout their stay in the country. The cost may vary depending on the country and the choice of coverage plan. Nonetheless, it costs approximately EU 80-100 per month.

Visa Process:

To begin with the study visa process, you are required to provide a valid passport, admission letter, academic documents (transcripts, test results, etc.), financial proof, health insurance, proof of accommodation in Europe, etc. Other documents such as Essay/Statement of purpose (SOP) are not mandatory unless mentioned for a university/country requirement.

Then you will have to book an appointment with the consulate/embassy of the country you are planning to travel to. Submit all your documents along with the required visa fees.

Usually, the visa processing time for most European countries is 2-6 weeks; however, it may vary based on the case and number of files with the consulate.
